HAVE WE FORGOTTEN THE ROCK?!

Jesus is the rock from where we came from. We were found in him before we were ever found in our parents, our friends, and even our churches. So why do we try to please people, and make sure we say certain things or dont say certain things around people, or even look a certain way for people?

We are to come as we are to God, not by what our parents, friends, or other relatives have molded us to be. He wants you as the true person you are, so that he can glorify himself IN you. Too many times we try to fix ourselves, start a ministry, go on and pray for people, when in reality all of that (or whatever your heart desires) will come once you are resting in him. He is the true vine that we must hang from, we are simply the branches.

When we come to the Father, we are made a brand new creation, what does this mean? It means we have a brand new family, it means you are no longer part of your family that you were brought up in, but now you are under the heavenly father, and whatever he says goes. This is not a bad thing as our mind would make it seem, but is a glorious thing to know that whatever we do and say (as long as it keeps us in his presence, and he will discipline you) is good to go.

So why do we hold back on what we feel needs to be said? To not hurt feelings? To be politically correct? We are to be in the world, not OF the world. When you are translated into the kingdom and staying in his presence, what you say becomes holy, what you do stems out from what he is doing, what we hear we must hear with a new perspective.

So here is the question. Are we following under the Fathers head, or are we still following under political correctness and pleasing people??

DISMEMBER YOURSELF!!

29“If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30“If your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell. - Matthew 5:29-30

This is an interesting passage if you sit and meditate on it. What Jesus was basically saying here is that in order to escape hell, you would have to dismember yourself, dismember whatever makes you sin. Thank God he sent his son Jesus to dismember our whole body from us.

Romans 6:6-7 says, "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the BODY OF SIN might be destroyed, that henceforth(from this time forward:starting now) we should not serve sin. For he that is DEAD is freed from sin.
(emphasis and definition input by me)

Why is it that Christians still want to hold on to a sinful nature as if it has not died yet. Clearly you have not gotten the revelation that Jesus Christ took on ALL sin from MANKIND and DESTROYED it. The Bible says we are to think heavenly, meaning we are to think as if we are in heaven sitting with Jesus, I dont think Jesus is sitting there thinking about something he has already destroyed.

Am I making light of sin? Of course not, but I refuse to give it a shout out if I mess up in my walk with Christ. I simply look back at the cross and my joy is filled once again at the finished work.

So stop clinging on to the lie that you still have something that is dead and you are freed from. God Bless.

WHO ARE YOU??

Who are you?

Have you ever asked yourself that question? What would be your answer? I'm not talking about who society says you are or your job title, but who YOU are.

I was watching a video of pete cabrera jr. Yesterday and he asked the guy that got healed who the guy thought pete was. He made this point, that he was a son of God and that he proved it by showing him the power of God through love.

This got me thinking in scripture it says to have a reason for your hope, and to prove the good and perfect will of God. A lot of people would probably go to apologetics or a certain theology that makes sense, but Jesus never said to go to apologetics or theology, he told us to believe in HIM.
So what is the perfect will of God? Well that's found in Jesus. Jesus was constantly healing the sick and preaching the kingdom. He, being the son of God didn't come with theology or apologetics, he came with power and love. And he told people that if they didn't believe him they should believe the works, why? Because he was proving that he was from and of the father God.

So think about this, you are a son of God, if someone asks you to prove it, what would you do? Would you pull out a book? Would you show them love? Would you know that you have the power of the holy spirit to manifest his presence in every situation?

Chew on this for a while.

God Bless.

GOD IS TRANSFORMING ME!!

I feel in my inner being that God is tearing into my spirit and is creating a fresh transformation. In saying that, I mean he is in the process of making me into the person that is no longer afraid or worried about speaking the truth, no matter who agrees  or disagrees.
In my walk with God I realize that when I tell  the harsh truth,  I sometimes go back to the person and apologize because what I told them hurt their feelings. And one of the things that comes to mind is that when I come back to apologize, my apology is taking back the truth I just gave and saying, nevermind nothing is wrong with you. Now you could say, well God cares about our feelings, and I would say, you are right and wrong. God cares about every situation, whether positive or negative. If you are crying, his spirit is there to comfort, but He has no problem offending you with the truth, because He is Love and he wants you to shine bright. And the only reasons you get offended is: 1. You feel entitled to whatever he is calling out of you, or, 2. You don't know/have his Love.
As I said, I feel God is tearing into my spirit and is creating a fresh transformation, so if you see or hear things from me that doesn't sound right or offends you, sorry not sorry. I will speak truth Lord willing as long as I live, no matter what the feelings are about.

God TRANSCENDS feelings.

FOUNDATION FOR THE SUPERNATURAL!!

Ephesians 2:19-22 KJV

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

I have heard this verse before when talking about if spiritual gifts are for today so I figured I would break it down, or at least try.

We see the first says that we (talking about the saints, the holy ones) are no more strangers but are citizens of God's house. What this means is that we are a part of his house, every corner, every room, we can go into and check it out, relaxing in the house. When people bring up verse 20, it's usually the word "foundation" that they cling to. My question is this; if there is no foundation for your house how would you have a house built, what would you stand on Or touch?

The apostles were our foundation, they helped us in showing how to walk in the supernatural, what to do about gifts of the tongues and taught us to edify each other in the spirit. In saying that, that doesn't sound like something that would just disappear, does it? In actuality it sounds like something we desperately need for this generation of christians.

We have gotten  so deep into our theologies and certain doctrines that we forget we are supernatural being in christ. We follow traditions where christ never followed traditions (unless you would call putting mud into someone's eyes to make them see traditional healing).

As christians we have the privilege to make the supernatural our natural everyday life. Miracles have never stopped. It is within these foundations that our mortal bodies begin to feel and experience the supernatural God and In seeing that our spirit continues to build us into a great temple For God through the Spirit.

God Bless!

THE RELIGIOUS ARE QUICK TO CALL BLASPHEMY!!

Growing more in the Lord and understanding of the Lord I hear alot of church goers start yelling blasphemy when they see something of God that they don't agree with. Blasphemy is a very serious matter yet people throw it around like its just another word. Lets take a look at the word blasphemy and certain ways that it was used in scripture to get a true grasp on it.

BLASPHEMY OR BLASPHEME:
- Matthew 12:31-32 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy AGAINST the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against he Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

- Mark 14: 61-64 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and saith unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses? Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

We see by these scriptures that there are two ways to blaspheme(or to fall into blasphemy). One is to speak against the Holy Ghost(or to call it evil, say its not of God etc. etc.). The second way is to claim that you are Jesus,or I would probably take it a step further and say to claim that you are God(although I realize that's not exactly what the scripture says).

So knowing this, why are people so quick to yell blasphemy? I believe it is because they fear the supernatural. There are people who will say to fear God. I would say this phrase is used in two ways. One is when you're a sinner you should fear God and his judgement and wrath. Another way is when you become a son, you fear him in a sense of Respect and Love for Him, not a scared or afraid of him "fear".

So please if you are ever ready to call blasphemy on someone, realize that it is a very serious matter, and do research before you start throwing it out there. We are called to Love, not try to get people kicked out permanently from the kingdom!

God bless.

TRUE GOSPEL MESSAGE!!

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4:17

Looking back at Matthew 4:17 we see that this is what Jesus started preaching. A lot different than what we hear in today's church right?

That is because a lot of today's church lacks the movement of the holy spirit and the workings of signs and wonders. But in order to get these things we must first start with the true gospel message.

As we go further into Matthew we see that Jesus  sends out the apostles and tells them to preach, saying the kingdom of heaven is at hand, followed by telling them to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils, freely you have received , freely give. (Matt. 10:7-8)

So what is this true gospel message and how do we step into the realm of the kingdom?

This question brings us back to Matthew 5:13-16, following Jesus telling us how blessed we are when we hunger for him (among other things. See Matthew 5:3-12 Beatitudes). In Matthew 5, Jesus tells us who we are before he tells us the ways that we should live. He says that we are the light of the world, the salt of the earth. When's the lat time you heard that in a church service?

The church has watered it down to call us, sinners or that it's our nature to sin. This is clearly not what Jesus said about us. The problem in the church (and christianity) today, is that we will believe people and ourselves before we ever believe Jesus own words about us.

So how about we stop telling people that they are dreadful sinners and start telling people the TRUTH. It's called LOVING people the way Christ did!

DOWN IN THE WILDERNESS!!

Has their ever been a time in your walk with God that you've felt down or just not feeling like praying or reading the  Bible?

If you are true to yourself and to God then the answer is most likely yes, most of us have had those days. What I am going to share with you the Holy Spirit confirmed to me a sure fire way to get your spirit lifted back up into the Lord.

When you are having one of these days, just start preaching to God. No this is not blasphemous, Jesus had angels minister to him when he was in the wilderness. Did Jesus need angels to minister to him? NO. But he was run down,he had just put up with the devils crap. Sometimes we just need to preach to God what we know about the Gospel and start proclaiming it, and you'll realize that as you are doing this your joy will start to run full. The Gospel will always get God's yes and amen. When you are preaching to him, you are simply praising and worshiping him....blessing the Lord.

So next time you're feeling spiritually run down. START PREACHING! DON'T HOLD BACK!! He will come in and lift you up.

God Bless in Jesus name!

IT'S NOT IN THE HEAD!!

This is an excerpt from Bill Johnsons book "When heaven invades earth".

Faith is born of the spirit in the hearts of mankind. Faith is neither intellectual nor anti -intellectual. It is superior to the intellect. The Bible does not say, With the mind man believes! Through faith, man is able to come into agreement with the mind of God.

When we submit the things of God to the mind of man, unbelief and religion are the results. When we submit the mind of man to the things of God, we end up with faith and a renewed mind. The mind makes a wonderful servant, but a terrible master.

Much of the opposition  to revival comes from the soul-driven Christians. The apostle Paul calls them carnal. They have not learned how to be led by the Spirit. Anything that doesn't make sense to their rational mind is automatically in conflict with Scripture. This way of thinking is accepted all throughout the church in western civilization, which should explain why our God so often looks just like us.

Most of the goals of the modern Church can be accomplished without God. All we need is people, money, and a common objective. Determination can achieve great things. But success is not necessarily a sign that the goal was from God. Little exist in church life to ensure that we are being direceted and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Returning to the ministry of Jesus is the only insurance we have of accomplishing such a goal.

MY HEART BROKE!!

CHICKEN BACON GLORY SAMMICH!?

Christians will always be afraid of the spirit of God, Why?

Because they continue to hold onto their man made theology and not ask the holy spirit to guide them in the reading of God's word. They will continually disagree about things that can be done if you are walking in the spirit, Why?

Some  christians think that healing and miracles died with the apostles, how can this be if we all have the same holy spirit? Christians think that pretty much every miracle that was done by Jesus was for him only yet Jesus said "the things I do you will do and greater things will you do " . So what are disciples of Christ to do? Stop out of courtesy for the non believers? Stop out of fear? NEVER. The Lord says not to fear and not to worry but have faith, and the first things the average  christian does is fear, worry, and then have faith.

There's a reason why we have a holy spirit and a reason why he is called the helper, because in him he reminds us of what Jesus said, in him we walk in love, in him we walk fearless, in him we overcome all obstacles.

In him we are like Christ.

MORE THAN A METAPHOR!!

It is sad how many Christians will read the bible and alot of what they read they will say, oh this is just a spiritual metaphor. I get so tired of that. Alot of times if we are honest with ourselves we only say that because we have not experienced it so it must be a metaphor.

For example there are some christians that will take what Jesus said about healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, raising the dead and casting out demons as just a spiritual sayinget that means when someone gets born again you just rose them from the spiritual dead and healed their spiritual sickness. If you take the time to think about that assumption it just doesn't make sense. Everything Jesus said was for a reason. If he told us to raise The dead He could have easily said, tell them to repent and believe. Did he do that? NO. In fact he made it perfectly clear that he meant actual sicknesses and actual raising the dead and casting out demons.

How do we know this?

We know this because he continually told us that if we have faith and believe and do not doubt, that we would speak to the mountain and tell it to move and it would move. He also said, these SIGNS will follow those who believe, they will cast out demons ...etc etc.

The lie that alot of christians fall into is, oh I tried it a couple times and it didn't work, it must not be literal sickness. Again I will say. NO! Just because you tried and it didn't work doesn't mean Jesus didn't mean it literally, even the disciples were told by Jesus that they were faithless when they could not cast the demon out of the little boy.

Everything that has to do with healing and walking in the spirit of God has to do with faith and believing. This is why it is very crucial to continually renew our minds and keep our minds on heavenly things. So if you are not seeing healings or a year other spiritual gifts take place in your life. TALK WITH GOD ABOUT IT. He gave you the holy spirit to walk in the spirit, if you're not walking in the spirit then you obviously need some one on one time with our Lord. He is gracious, he's not going to tell you something that's going to hurt you, he will let you know where you need help with your belief system.

So please, next time you read the bible, know that Jesus  meant it literally when he told us to heal the sick. If you're not seeing it happen through you please don't make excuses, seek God and he will direct you.

God Bless!

CHRISTIANS CAN'T TALK ABOUT GOD??

When I became a christian (and maybe before I became a christian) I started noticing that whenever a christian would bring up God or a Godly conversation the environment would get very awkward. I've always thought it was weird and funny because I would think (and still do), that why do we get like this in these types of conversations?  Shouldn't christians get excited to talk about God?

I remember a while back at my job I prayed with one of my clients and he said he was a christian and we both started quoting a little bit of Scripture to each other. A day or few after that I was sitting on a bench and looked over and heard the same guy talking about God and the bible to another client which I soon found out his sons were big in the scriptures. To this day I think about that, that it was cool how relaxed we were just talking about. Here you have people that are coming off of drugs and alcohol and talking about God and the scriptures like it's everyday conversation, while you have the church and the ones who possibly grew up christian get Awkward when it comes to Godly talk.

I know whenever I hear someone talk about God or even when I bring it up to someone I get a little excited. How can I not? I've seen him work, I've felt his presence, and come on, who wouldn't want to talk about their creator and the powerfully awesome things that he can do that are all bundled up in the gospel.

The only reason that I can think of why chrI stains get awkward is because we feel/know we aren't living a Godly life. I think too many Christians try too hard to live the Godly life. Jesus said his burden is light. We shouldn't have to try, we should just be letting him  take over and walk in love.
