    1. Steve, thank you for checking out my blog. It is greatly appreciated. However I agree and disagree with you on a few things here. When speaking of faith without works in the bible, what would you think works meant? It doesn't take faith to give a homeless guy a few bucks or some food, but to heal a person from sickness. I am not saying that we should call all Christians "apostles", the apostles were the first disciples that got the church going and we're specifically called out by Jesus himself. But the bible makes it very clear that Christians are very able to do miracles with healing and prophsying.

Mark 16:17-18And these signs will accompany those who believe, in my name they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues. 18 (summarized) they will lay their hands on the sick and they will recover.

1 corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God does not consist of talk but in power.

So you see out of these verses alone, since there are many other verses, it's saying that we should be doing signs and wonders. Also Jesus himself said not to do good works to be seen by men. There are plenty of people that do healing miracles. They don't need television to show the world.

Also another verse that comes to mind is when Paul was talking about spiritual gifts he tells us to "pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy".

So do I think that we absolutely have to do miracles? Not at all, it is believing in christ alone that saves us. But we do have the spiritual gifts available to us.

Thanks again for checking out my blog.

      God bless!
