THE RELIGIOUS ARE QUICK TO CALL BLASPHEMY!!

Growing more in the Lord and understanding of the Lord I hear alot of church goers start yelling blasphemy when they see something of God that they don't agree with. Blasphemy is a very serious matter yet people throw it around like its just another word. Lets take a look at the word blasphemy and certain ways that it was used in scripture to get a true grasp on it.

BLASPHEMY OR BLASPHEME:
- Matthew 12:31-32 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy AGAINST the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against he Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

- Mark 14: 61-64 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and saith unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses? Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

We see by these scriptures that there are two ways to blaspheme(or to fall into blasphemy). One is to speak against the Holy Ghost(or to call it evil, say its not of God etc. etc.). The second way is to claim that you are Jesus,or I would probably take it a step further and say to claim that you are God(although I realize that's not exactly what the scripture says).

So knowing this, why are people so quick to yell blasphemy? I believe it is because they fear the supernatural. There are people who will say to fear God. I would say this phrase is used in two ways. One is when you're a sinner you should fear God and his judgement and wrath. Another way is when you become a son, you fear him in a sense of Respect and Love for Him, not a scared or afraid of him "fear".

So please if you are ever ready to call blasphemy on someone, realize that it is a very serious matter, and do research before you start throwing it out there. We are called to Love, not try to get people kicked out permanently from the kingdom!

God bless.

TRUE GOSPEL MESSAGE!!

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4:17

Looking back at Matthew 4:17 we see that this is what Jesus started preaching. A lot different than what we hear in today's church right?

That is because a lot of today's church lacks the movement of the holy spirit and the workings of signs and wonders. But in order to get these things we must first start with the true gospel message.

As we go further into Matthew we see that Jesus  sends out the apostles and tells them to preach, saying the kingdom of heaven is at hand, followed by telling them to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils, freely you have received , freely give. (Matt. 10:7-8)

So what is this true gospel message and how do we step into the realm of the kingdom?

This question brings us back to Matthew 5:13-16, following Jesus telling us how blessed we are when we hunger for him (among other things. See Matthew 5:3-12 Beatitudes). In Matthew 5, Jesus tells us who we are before he tells us the ways that we should live. He says that we are the light of the world, the salt of the earth. When's the lat time you heard that in a church service?

The church has watered it down to call us, sinners or that it's our nature to sin. This is clearly not what Jesus said about us. The problem in the church (and christianity) today, is that we will believe people and ourselves before we ever believe Jesus own words about us.

So how about we stop telling people that they are dreadful sinners and start telling people the TRUTH. It's called LOVING people the way Christ did!

DOWN IN THE WILDERNESS!!

Has their ever been a time in your walk with God that you've felt down or just not feeling like praying or reading the  Bible?

If you are true to yourself and to God then the answer is most likely yes, most of us have had those days. What I am going to share with you the Holy Spirit confirmed to me a sure fire way to get your spirit lifted back up into the Lord.

When you are having one of these days, just start preaching to God. No this is not blasphemous, Jesus had angels minister to him when he was in the wilderness. Did Jesus need angels to minister to him? NO. But he was run down,he had just put up with the devils crap. Sometimes we just need to preach to God what we know about the Gospel and start proclaiming it, and you'll realize that as you are doing this your joy will start to run full. The Gospel will always get God's yes and amen. When you are preaching to him, you are simply praising and worshiping him....blessing the Lord.

So next time you're feeling spiritually run down. START PREACHING! DON'T HOLD BACK!! He will come in and lift you up.

God Bless in Jesus name!

IT'S NOT IN THE HEAD!!

This is an excerpt from Bill Johnsons book "When heaven invades earth".

Faith is born of the spirit in the hearts of mankind. Faith is neither intellectual nor anti -intellectual. It is superior to the intellect. The Bible does not say, With the mind man believes! Through faith, man is able to come into agreement with the mind of God.

When we submit the things of God to the mind of man, unbelief and religion are the results. When we submit the mind of man to the things of God, we end up with faith and a renewed mind. The mind makes a wonderful servant, but a terrible master.

Much of the opposition  to revival comes from the soul-driven Christians. The apostle Paul calls them carnal. They have not learned how to be led by the Spirit. Anything that doesn't make sense to their rational mind is automatically in conflict with Scripture. This way of thinking is accepted all throughout the church in western civilization, which should explain why our God so often looks just like us.

Most of the goals of the modern Church can be accomplished without God. All we need is people, money, and a common objective. Determination can achieve great things. But success is not necessarily a sign that the goal was from God. Little exist in church life to ensure that we are being direceted and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Returning to the ministry of Jesus is the only insurance we have of accomplishing such a goal.
